St. Benedict sweeps Scots 3-0 at Emory Invitational

The Maryville College volleyball team dropped to 0-2 on the season after enduring a 3-0 sweep at the hands of The College of Saint Benedict at the Emory University Invitational in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday morning.

 

Saint Benedict (2-1) outpaced the Scots 25-14, 25-18, 25-15 with a 21% attack percentage led by Claire Westby's nine kills in 24 total attacks.

 

Maryville directed 114 total attacks with Madison Wilkerson pacing MC with eight kills. Wilkerson also captained the defensive effort with 15 digs. Hannah Potts and Rhianna Tyldesley each added five kills. Meredith Bonee supplied 10 assists and nine digs with Tyldesley also adding 11 digs and a pair of blocks.

 

The Scots will conclude their Emory Invitational experience against SUNY New Palz at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
