Scots selected second in USA South Western Division by league coaches

The USA South Athletic Conference's women's soccer coaches have released their 2019 preseason polls. Each divisional preseason poll only includes votes from coaches within that particular division-only. Head coaches do not vote for their own teams in the balloting.

Maryville's Pepe Fernandez, beginning his 29th season guiding the Scots' women's program, returns ten starters that won the USA South western division regular season crown with a 13-6 overall mark while going 8-0 last fall in conference action. A trio of talented seniors hope to lead Maryville toward the program's fifth regular season title since joining the league in 2012.

"We are looking forward to this year's campaign to see how we stack up against the other teams in the league," stated Fernandez. "We expect the quality of the USA South soccer teams to be high this fall."

The 2019 USA South Women's Soccer Tournament will once again be conducted exclusively on campus sites. The top-six seeded teams from each division will advance to the tournament.
