The Maryville College women's golf program finished the 2019 Rhodes Classic in third place after a two-round total of 344-350 (694) in Memphis, Tennessee on Sunday evening.
The Scots' Hannah Doherty paced Maryville's second round effort with a 76 on the par 72 challenging course. Doherty, a sophomore from Maryville, posted an 86-76 (161) for a 19th place finish. Katelyn Witucki placed 13th overall after attacking the 5,803-yard course with a 77-78 (155). MC's Laura Russell and Bailee Powell each finished 31st overall with 189 totals. Russell shot a 92-97 while Powell posted a 90-99.
The Scots tallied eight birdies over the tournament with Witucki adding a pair to her school record while Doherty rallied in her second round with six birdies over both rounds.
Coach Anthony Monaco will prepare his squad for the Montgomery Country Club Intercollegiate Classic in Montgomery, Alabama on September 28-29.
