LaGrange College women's basketball used a torrid 61% shooting effort from beyond the arc to defeat Maryville College 71-59 in LaGrange, Georgia on Sunday afternoon.
Maryville's Brook McCurdy deposited seven three-pointers (7-for-14) for a game-high 23-point effort with Libby Gardner posting 17 points while dishing out a game-high six assists. Kelley Wandell was strong in the paint with nine points and a game-high 13 rebounds. Klaire Varney dished out six assists while grabbing five boards.
LaGrange (12-11, 6-8 USA South) was paced by Jahpera McEachin's 19 points on 6-of-10 shooting that included a 5-for-6 effort from long distance. Riley Chlupacek added 18 points after going 6-for-8 overall and 6-for-7 from three-point land. Marilauren Farr tossed in 15 points and five rebounds to help the Panthers.
The Scots finished shooting 41% from the floor (20-for-49) that included an 11-for-33 effort from beyond the arc. The Panthers finished 11-for-18 from beyond the arc while hitting 24-of 50 shots for the game.
Maryville (11-12, 9-5 USA South) will prepare to host Covenant College on Wednesday evening for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off in MC's Boydson Baird Gymnasium.
