The Maryville College Women's basketball team pushed their win streak to 10 in a row with a 70-53 USA South Conference victory over Greensboro College, at home on Saturday.
After shooting poorly early in the game the Scots found the mark and gradually pulled away for the victory, running their season record to 11-1 and 4-0 in USA South Athletic Conference action.
Individually, Lauren Burnett paced the Scots in scoring with 15 points on 5 of 10 shooting from behind the 3 point line. Tayler Smith surpassed the 500 career rebound mark by grabbing 13 boards to lead both teams in that category.
Alex Bond played one of her best games of the season while putting up 14 points and grabbing five rebounds. Janell Menard spent most of the game in foul trouble but scored 10 points before fouling out after just playing 17 minutes.
The Scots will quickly return to action tomorrow when they host Methodist University. Tip off is scheduled for 2:00 in Boydson Baird Gymnasium.
