Maryville College senior guard Janell Menard surpassed the 1,000 point plateau for her career in the orange and garnet when the Loudon, Tennessee native deposited a team-high 18 points to push the Scots past Millsaps College on Saturday evening in Montgomery, Alabama at the 2012 Coaches vs Cancer tournament hosted by Huntingdon College.
Menard was 6-for-10 from the field and 3-for-4 from beyond the arc. Freshman Mackenzie Puckett dropped 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting. Kiera Payne tossed in a dozen points while Lauren Burnett added 11. Tayler Smith paced MC on the boards with 10 rebounds. Puckett also crashed the boards for six rebounds.
