Ashleigh Geary, a graduate of Heritage High School, has committed to continue her education and collegiate softball career at Maryville College in Maryville, Tenn.
Ashleigh was a talented utility player for the Mountaineers hitting .268 with five doubles while also posting a 3.79 ERA in the circle. During travel ball, she exploded for a .338 average while posting a .558 on-base percentage.
"Ashleigh has such a passion for Maryville College and those are the type of kids I want in my program," stated Maryville College Head Softball Coach Leah Kelley. "She works extremely hard and remains a student of the game. She will be a special kid to watch grow in this program"
Geary joins a program that has flourished the past three seasons under the direction of Head Coach Leah Kelley. Kelley directed the Scots toward a 2018 USA South Regular Season and Tournament Championship before earning the program's third bid to the NCAA regionals following a school record 31 wins. In four seasons at the helm, Kelley has a 92-75 career record while going 44-34 within USA South Athletic Conference action.
