The Maryville College men's golf team will enter their spring season as the 30th ranked NCAA Division III team in the nation, which is the highest ranking in the programs ten-year history.
The Scots have had to wait an extra week for the spring opener since flooding caused the cancellation of the Callaway Gardens Invitational earlier this week.
Now the team will jump into the spring with a nine-day trip over spring break that will include a pair of 54-hole events against some of the nation's top-ranked teams.
On March 10 -11 the Scots will challenge 14 other teams at the Adidas Intercollegiate on the Cotton Dike golf course at Dataw Island, South Carolina.
They will then travel down to Jekyll Island, Georgia for the Jekyll Island Invitational on March 15-17. The tournament at Jekyll Island will include a field of 30 of the nation's top NCAA Division III teams competing on Jekyll's Pine Lakes Course.
The Scots line up will include 2018 USA South Rookie of the Year, sophomore Tyler Bray, from Lutz, Florida. Seniors Wil Manuel of Hixson, Tennessee and DJ Shelton from Crossville, junior Garrett Complement of Danville, Indiana and Knoxville freshman Andy Cofer.
