Fighting Scots Football releases 2019 schedule

Maryville College Head Football Coach Shaun Hayes would like to announce the program's 2019 schedule has been released.

The Fighting Scots, coming off a historic season, went 7-3 overall after earning the program's fourth USA South Athletic Conference title going undefeated in league challenges. Maryville's perfect 7-0 record in the USA South earned the program's second trip to the NCAA post-season in school history.

MC will open with a trio of strong non-conference opponents. Berry College and Hanover College will make their way to historic Honaker Field while the Colonels of Centre College will host the Scots under the lights in Danville, Kentucky.

Maryville will open their conference slate on October 5th at Brevard College before Methodist University comes to Lloyd L. Thornton Stadium on October 19th for Homecoming. This Homecoming will be the culmination of a year-long celebration of Maryville College's Bicentennial.

Coach Hayes will honor over 20 senior student-athletes on "Senior Day" on November 9th against Greensboro College.

The Scots will wrap up the 2019 regular season campaign on November 16 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina against the Battling Bishops of North Carolina Wesleyan College.
