The Maryville College men's soccer team fell to 4-2-2 on the season and 1-1 in USA South challenges with a 2-1 overtime loss to North Carolina Wesleyan College at home on Friday evening.
A scoreless first have that featured three shots on goal by the Bishops and a pair of keeper saves by MC keeper Ben Munger ended on a scoreless draw.
The second half featured a nine shot attack by the Scots to only a pair of attacks by the visiting Bishops. Unfortunately, in the 58th minute Wesleyan's Samba Cande hit Alex Mansaray for the go ahead goal for the Bishops.
As the game extended to overtime, Maryville found themselves with a man advantage, but in the 97th minute Samba Cande connected on an unassisted game winning goal.
The Scots will return to action on October 2 when they travel to Covenant College for a 7:00 p.m. kick off.
