Maryville Joins Boxcast to Enhance Live Video Experience

With the goal of enhancing the viewing experience for its fan base, the Maryville College Sports Information department has announced that BoxCast, LLC will serve as the online video platform host for the department's home athletic webcasts.  Standard definition versions of the webcast are available at no charge.  There will also be an option to upgrade to a high-definition version of the particular webcast for a nominal fee of $6.95.

Loch & Key Productions will continue to produce the football broadcasts for 2014 with George DeBaby bringing you the play-by-play via the Scots Broadcasting Network.

Live video action will be displayed in the new Presto System called "PrimeTime 3" that will include live stat updates during the broadcast.

The 2014 USA South football media day used this new broadcasting format with 3,066 live viewers while 645 viewers to date have enjoyed the archived broadcast at the same link.

Plans are in motion to broadcast six home football contests, six home volleyball matches, all home basketball events in the winter, and every home baseball game in the spring. The first live game will be on September 6th when MC hosts Berry College for their season opener in football.

"We have a rapidly expanding fan base and we are excited to bring them as many live events as we can," stated Eric Etchison, Assistant Athletics Director for Communications. "We encourage our fans to follow Maryville College Athletics in all of our on-line formats."
