The Maryville College Athletic Department has announced some of their fall sport schedules that will kick off the 2014-2015 academic year.
Head Football Coach Mike Rader, who is 14-7 in his first pair of season at the helm after sporting back-back USA South Championship rings, will welcome six opponents to legendary Honaker Field this fall. The Fighting Scots (8-3, 6-1 in USA South in 2013) will open their campaign on September 6th against non-conference foe Berry College. Emory & Henry will conclude MC's non-league challenges on September 13th. Maryville's four USA South home games will include Huntingdon (September 27th), LaGrange (October 4th/Homecoming), North Carolina Wesleyan (November 1st), and Christopher Newport (November 8th). The Scots will conclude their regular season in Fayetteville, NC against Methodist University with hope of gaining their second consecutive trip to the NCAA post season.

Head Volleyball Coach Kandis Schram will open her 29th season on the road with prestigious tournaments in Columbus, Ohio and Lexington, Virginia before hosting Capital, Earlham, Lynchburg, Centre, and Oglethorpe in an MC Invitational on September 12th and 13th. The road warriors will play 23 of their 31 matches this fall on the road within the tough South Region. Following the MC Invitational, Maryville will host Piedmont (October 1st), Mary Baldwin (October 11th), Greensboro (October 11th), and will host Senior Day on October 14th when they host Covenant College. The Scots were 24-16 last season winning the USA South title with a 16-0 regular season mark. Coach Schram is looking to take her squad to their 12th NCAA Tournament after last season's post-season trip. In 28 seasons Coach Schram is 667-357 for a 65% winning percentage.

Head Men's and Women's Soccer Coach Pepe Fernandez is only three wins shy of 600 career coaching victories while directing the successful Scots Soccer programs.
His men's program tied for second in the USA South last season with a 10-5-2 overall mark and 6-3 record in league challenges. They will begin this fall on August 30th hosting the MC Fall Classic. They will challenge Capital University and Johns Hopkins University on their home pitch. Oglethorpe and The University of the Ozarks will round out non-conference home matches for the Scots. USA South home matches will include William Peace, Averett, Covenant, before closing out the regular season with three consecutive league home challenges against LaGrange, Ferrum, and Greensboro. Coach Fernandez's men have won 69% of their games under his direction and look to attend their fourth NCAA post-season in program history.

The Lady Scots soccer program looks to repeat their regular season success on the pitch this fall. Last season MC took the USA South regular season title with a 13-2-3 overall mark and 10-1-1 record. They will also open their 2014 calendar at home with the MC Fall Classis on August 29th hosting Emory & Henry and Hanover. They will host Oglethorpe and Rhodes before concentrating on the tough USA South schedule. Home league opponents will include William Peace, Averett, and Covenant before hosting LaGrange, Ferrum, and Greensboro to finish the home schedule. In 23 seasons with the women, Coach Fernandez has taken the Lady Scots to eight NCAA tournaments while winning 70% of all their challenges.
